(Progress Update #5)


Uhhh, Hello Again!

Welcome to the Progress Update!

Im currently in Vacation for 2 weeks to take a break from game development beacuse i am tired.im working on Beta 1 nonstop and i just have a burnout and i didnt work for a bit. and i didnt manage to deliver the update on time.

HOWEVER!

This doesnt mean i have Nothing to Say! to not make the audience impatient, let me show you some spoilers for the Update.

Also, thanks for 6000 Views! i never thought the project will be succesful

Progress Update #5 isnt as Big as Previous Progress Updates, but it has a ton of Major Stuff. its all about PreRelease 3.0 development.

Anyways, lets get to the Spoilers!


1. Retextured Ultimate Mode Shop.

the Old Placeholder is no longer a Placeholder! now its a BB+ inspired shop with Fun Items to Buy!


Here,s how it looks like:

The Texture may be Subject to change as its very associated with BB+. but its Mostly done. i hope you enjoy the new deco.

there is only 5 items to buy instead of 6. i also added cherry to shop and adjusted prices.


i finished it on July 5th. it was meant to replace Placeholder Shop in Ultimate Mode.

2. Game Over Screen. when Player loses game:

Dont like when you lose, you instantly go to main menu, no fun animations, you dont like that? dont worry, i did this for you.

GAME OVER TIME!!!

not much to say, much it works okay, the text is also animated.


Its Finished but beacuse of only being 2 buttons in it, it may be Subject to Change, but its not likely to happen.

Its a Great DeathScreen that suits even for Initial Release.

i finished it on July 1st, it is meant to replace the boring thing that player was instantly teleported to Main menu when died.

3. Mobile Mode

THIS IS FINALLY HAPPENING, this is the 3rd time i readded mobile... this needs to work.

Mobile mode is Finally Readded to the Game. beacuse Mobile is Harder, i will make Gameplay easier for Mobile (dont call this cheating).

it has everything needed, pausing, running, stopping, UI settings.

i finished it on June 28th. it is meant to have more users playing the game.

+ Performance Boost.

I am currently changing code. why? beacuse i want Mobile to work!

the Code now will only run when needed instead of running all the time. This way, the game will be mobile compatible and be played very well.

If that doesnt work...

Then i will make small Mobile Updates that will tweak more of the code to Boost Performance.

it will still take 10 minutes to load the game tho.

4. New Secrets.

on PreRelease 2.2, the Secrets were Just Placeholders and for Prerelease 3.0, i need to add good secrets, so i added this:

The Account Secret is Now Gone and Replaced with NULL V2 lab secret.

Thats how you get it:

- in Floor 2, there is a small cube somewhere in the map, player needs to use SPRAY to go to it.

- when entered, the player goes to the Lab. the player needs to click on 2 levers to go further.

- Player Meets NULL V2 and talks to him about some lore... then player goes to Staff room,

- Played needs to touch the 3 items to steal. after that, NULL V2 gets angry...

- Music starts after that and player needs to escape before music ends, if not, then (99)_ded

The secret is good to explore.


i finished it on July 12th, its meant to readd back secret areas to the game.

I WILL ADD 2 more secret areas and im done and finished with LORE...

5. Editor Settings Revamp + Editor Update.

The Update will revamp the Placeholder UI Settings! here,s how it looks like:

Im not going to say anything since i call everything " amazing " but i want to highlight details of the new UI.

- The UI now has an Animation when Changing Category settings (click on it to change category)

- The UI of settings slightly changed a bit.

I HOPE YOU LIKE IT, it wont change anymore and is likely to be like that even in initial release of the game...

+ Level Editor Updates

I updated the Level Editor so its up to date with the game,s current features.

- i also scrapped level editor detention location setting and replaced it with Detention Location Trigger.

- i also added Doors to the game. Faculty and Normal Doors.

- Updated Variant Button with New Textures! now its up-to-date with the game version of gameplay.


This way, levels will have even more combinations and be better when making the levels. hope you enjoy it.

6. Birthday Mode.

Birthday Mode will come out to the Game when PreRelease 3.0 come out.

The Gamemode is about collecting all 8 Presents and Escape to Win. i am Baldi and i need to chase the player. simple, nice, and also a bit Begginer Friendly. the gamemode is the easiest beacuse the player can get good items (zesty bar, golden zesty bar, spray, blower)


When Player gets all Exits, there will be a fun ending with New Dialogue. after player will ask where are characters, characters show up and i say "Happy birthday player, you beat my game, you deserve it", then the Cake will show up and then I say to the player to blow up the candle, once player blows up the Candle, i say goodbye to the player, and characters dissapear.

Something scary happens.

The Game turns Dark, and the Player cant move, scary sounds start going. a Dialogue from (99) tells the player to destroy my presents and escape again, the player dissagrees, then (99) GETS ANGRY, comes to the Player AND DESTROYS HIM, a Loud Long Jumpscare happens.

and the gamemode ends...


Hmmmm, the Gamemode is Too Easy???


- i added a Secret Ending to the Game that unlocks a new Mode, Ruined Birthday Mode, which the Mode will come out in September 22nd (MY BIRTHDAY), But the secret ending is unlockable when prerelease comes out.

You see the Hammers sometimes spawning? you need to use them and Destroy Presents. They only spawn in 1/3 runs. if you manage to find one, you can destroy presents (you wont be able to hold more than 1 hammer).

I will get more angry when Destroying a Present, my endgame speed will be Twice as Fast! it will be Hard, but its Possible. Dont Worry.

Thats the Point of the Ending. get Hammers, destroy presents, and escape.

when getting all exits with atleast 7 presents destroyed, there will be a cutsene where player teleports away, and i teleport to the new upcoming gamemode.


Conclusion?

it will be one of the better modes, i promise.

7. New Characters!

in PreRelease 3.0, Doppelganger will be Removed from the Game.

why? Beacuse it softlocks the player too much and its really annoying for players. so i deleted it.

HOWEVER! i added 2 New Characters!

The Characters are Simple and dont need much explanation, but i will do that anyways to Introduce them...

Gifters!!!

Good/Bad Gifter.

1. Good Gifter.

Good Gifters freely roam around the Map and can give player items when touching player. it can be diet/normal spray and Zesty Bar. so its a cool character and can help player a Lot if something goes wrong.


2. Bad Gifter.

Bad Gifter picks a target location around a map, then goes to baldi,s current location. Why? beacuse he has an Ability to Make baldi Faster.

 Baldi,s speed recovers by 1-2% per second, the Bad Gifter can increase speed by 5% per second. so Beacuse of this, Baldi can sometimes be Much Faster than Normal.

It also has an Ability to Steal Items. most likely items that Good Gifter gives. so be careful when being close to him!


The new Characters will be Helpful and give less Emptiness to the World of Baldi,s Ultimate Remaster!



i have one last thing to tell to you, something just very quick...


8. Gamemode Ideas?

YIKES! I have no Ideas for the 8th Gamemode!

I have a Few Ideas that i scrapped them beacuse i dont feel like they will be fun. So i need help with a Gamemode Idea!

Scrapped Ideas:

1. HELL MODE. this mode was about 5 challenging maps. i planned it since Progress Update #2. however, i scrapped it since its not very fun and not very accesible.

Looked like this. (Made New Version but Lost to date)

Idea in thoughts in (8th February - June 26th)

2. OG MODE. the gamemode was about a map with Mechanics from Alpha. i Scrapped it Beacuse the map doesnt give much satisfaction, and its too little amount of stuff for a single gamemode.

Idea in Thoughts in (July 13th - July 15th)

Looks Like This:

3. Everything Mode. Gamemode that has ALL feature across multiple maps the player can freely explore. The Idea was scrapped beacuse it might not be a good idea and wont be very fun.

CURRENT GAMEMODE ON WORKS

Challenge Mode. the Gamemode will have a few challenges that will be fun to play and get fun rewards!

The Gamemode will be in the Works after i come back from Vacation. Since i dont have many ideas for the Game currently.

I have already made challenges for the game earlier in early alpha, like Chalk Challenge, which will Return to the game.

There will also be a challenge about avoiding several baldis, a challenge about Having 20 items but baldi super fast, and also a challenge about surviving a specific time.

I hope the gamemode will be Fun and Enjoyable, since i am Tired of Scrapping the ideas.

I Wanted to do more but i Didnt have Enough Time.
