History Of Baldi,s Ultimate Remaster!

Its Not a Post about a prerelease of Beta 1. but something fun to talk about!
In 14th December 2024, i released the game on itch.io, and it was a great decision, i went from 2 views a day to over 15 views a day!
The Game page is constantly updated, the first itch.io version of Baldi,s Ultimate Remaster is Alpha 6B, next day it got Alpha 7A and 2 weeks later, Alpha 7B, Beta 1 should come out a few months after Alpha 7B. but the game wasnt in its first alpha, or even pre-alpha versions, it was in the 8th Alpha Version/10th Alpha Version. so today, we will uncover, what happened before the itch.io launch of this game, before Alpha 6B. and we will see what happened before, and how the game looked like.
1) Prototype Versions!
It All Started in July, when i was working still for my own game, baldi basics mod, i was releasing new things, such as cheat mode, level editor, YTP pickups, random mode. but one day, i made a game called Baldi,s Ultimate Remaster, two months before the first PreAlpha Version released, so, what happened? Back in the day, i had completly different Plans, even the game name was different. as back in the day, it was called " Baldi Challenge Bundle " When i made the game, i was still unaware of any fun free baldi games, such as BFNSU, BBFGR, BBCR, etc.

Yeah, the game was completly different back then, the game was also planned with different plans!
There were meant to be 10 Alpha Versions ( there actually were 10 alpha versions already and finished, i didnt even notice! ) and 10 Beta Versions, or, continuing development until i was tired and made last version, version 1.0, now my plans are having 5 big beta versions and continuing after version 1.0, with post 1.0 updates adding extra stuff.
Anyways. i added the main menu, the game back then had a effect to dark and lighten screen, which got removed in early alpha updates.
this is how the map looked like:
Back in the day, the game version was Beta 0.2! which was dependent on number of assets, which was around 80.
The Game was starting to add gamemode, the game was firstly more drawn on BBCR, then i had different plans, i started added item slots ( was scrapped in early alpha versions ), items, notebooks, exits, and the game started looking good, but graphics were trash. the first items were BSODA, lock ( functioned differently, when used, it knocked out characters ), zesty bar, tape, and keys. the characters were playtime, baldi ( their textures were UGLY! principal, and that was it! this is now it looked like!
Thats all content the game had back in the day, 1 gamemode, endless mode setting, and secret ending mode.
The Settings menu had cut fading and captions settings, and credits were empty.
This Leads To PreAlpha 1 Releasing 26th September, 2024!
2) PreAlpha Versions
With PreAlpha 1 being released, many game devs pointed it out and said bad comments like " BUGS -9000000/1000000000 ", so the game got small good updates daily. PreAlpha 2, PreAlpha 3, PreAlpha 4, and lastly, PreAlpha 4.5 came out.
PreAlpha 2
In September 27, 2024, PreAlpha 2 came out with Bug Fixes, Caption Fixes, and New Character, Pink Blocker, which blocks player, similar to current black blocker, added how to play button, with keybind tutorial and some explanation
PreAlpha 3
In September 28, 2024, PreAlpha 3 came out with first fun settings, hard mode and lights out mode. buffed robot and secret ending. nothing changed in classic mode
PreAlpha 4
In September 30, 2024, PreAlpha 4, best PreAlpha update came out, it was the first version to finally be aware of BFNSU, getting some inspiration, added achievments, added skin settings and set music settings, color player picker, new fun setting, speedy mode, added party mode ( WHICH LITERALLY WORKS THE SAME AS TODAY ) gamemode menu now shows endless mode record
PreAlpha 4.5
In October 1, 2024, PreAlpha 4.5, final prealpha update. added demo style, and revamped textures of gamemode. the game had 3 gamemodes, characters, items, tutorial, gameplay, secret ending. added inventory clearer, which cleans inventory incase bugs happen

3) Alpha Versions
Alpha Versions were planned to be 10 of them, and be controlled by the community, however, in reality, it added more features.
Alphas 1-4 made improvements, meanwhile, Alphas 5A - 7B added new stuff, which were sometimes minor or major! the time alpha ruled was ( October 8th - December 27th )
Alpha 1
A Week Later, Alpha 1 Came Out, which didnt change much, it added new menu for tabs, so some buttons were relocated) the menu looked similar to today, except there is now about button except how to play button. the gameplay didnt change, there was a gamerule that the player could change character AI, the game got mobile support, the game got teleport mode fun setting. and normal mode speedrun, so player could speedrun the game, also added shop preview, which items could be buyable with FabiBucks in Alpha 2. added stat menu, which gave players fabibucks when beating a gamemode
Alpha 2
Alpha 2 came out a few days later, it added the new account section, which wasnt mandatory to use it yet, it had different functions
back in the day, the account was craftable from making name, profile, and password. yes, you had to type password
also, the game added 6 new items available from shop, added ultimate mode ( which back in the day was called ultimate mode. had only floor 1! gameplay was unchanged in other gamemodes.
Fixed reactions to Playtime and Principal, 2 New Events! Dark mode and Principal Break!
Alpha 3
Alpha 3 came out a few days later, it was the smallest alpha update so far.
It added first challenges, hack settings, for baldi speed and something else. it also nerfed playtime and deleted annoying cutsenes.
Alpha 4
After Alpha 4, my plans for game development for this game has changed to what it is today, with planning to update after version 1.0 and head towards completing the game instead of holding it like BB+, it was the last update before major update additions. the game was getting better from now on. came out in Early november.
Added new UI changes, storage lockers, store Sprays ( earlier BSODAs ) and Zesty Bars like today. it added the first secret,
the first secret was about making strange account and then getting teleported to a secret area, having the first mentions of NULL V2. there was a revamped gamemode section which shows future gamemodes/ it also added new soundtracks and skins to choose in settings.
TRIVIA: level editor was first delayed in Alpha 3, and Delayed again in Alpha 4.
Alpha 5A
The First Major Addition Update got Released a Week Later. The Update Trivia: Random Mode was Planned to Come Out, but it didnt LOL.
The Update started not super big, it added 2 New Gamemodes, Secrets Tab, Checkpoints Tab, And Speedrun Tab, Only Secrets Tab Worked Since the rest of the added gamemode had no intended purpose during the time.
The Update also added more mobile support by replacing keybinds with clickable item slots, It also modding tab, which had mod options, like random jumpscare, Gamemode UI 1.0 option, and Baldi slap indicator, which got scrapped in future versions.
The settings got organized and started working for Ultimate Mode and Level Editor. the update added 2 new soundtracks
Alpha 5B
Alpha 5B ( or called Alpha 5 Part 2 ) was a more successful update, it was big and major. coming out next week.
The Game got its proper thumbnail! The Level Editor was Finally Added ( but was limited at the time ), Ultimate Mode also came back with a revamped map.
The news button got added. 2 new items were added, as they are good items, many fans remember it, its the Water Bottle and Teleporter! the account section ( section after created account ) added stats in it.
Alpha 6A
Next 2 Weeks later, and Another Major update! more importantly, the revamp update! it came out in December 6th, 2024.
It added the entry thing that shows whenever we launch the game the first time, it works the same as now, set up name, profile, but we could also set device and set a different mode to introduction or manual mode. New Fun Setting got added, Baldi Pad Mode! when entered, the whole map is covered in a ton of different speed boosts
two new characters got introduced that we all know of, blocker, and spitter.
Floor 2 was added to Ultimate Style! Some more bug fixes were here, also, There were a few Fun Settings adjustments and changed teleport mode to FreePlay Mode, mainly beacuse how buggy it was, The shop was also split to 2 different shops, too! free shop, and premium shop!
The game also added a Shop Pass, which still functions the same as in Beta 1 ( coming soon ). Also, BSODA was changed to Spray.
The credits menu was also Revamped with a proper one. the Achievments menu also got revamped! floor 2 to ultimate mode added checkpoints tab also got a use! there was also a baldi customizer upcoming for Alpha 7A
Alpha 6B
Alpha 6B was an update that added More Stuff, revamped a bit more, made more adjustments, made fixes. came out just 3 days after the Release of Alpha 6A! Jeez did i cook! it also was the first version of Baldi,s Ultimate Remaster released to Itch.io! before Alpha 7A came 1 day later.
The Update had multiple changes
New minigame! campfire mode! no need to explain, since its 1 to 1 with OG old campfire mode from BB+, but sticks dont respawn.
ENDLESS MODE was back! now when the player was in endless mode after a certain time, the game started darkening, and NULL V2 spawned, average player got 20 notebooks, and the mode needed to still be improved soon.
In Account Section, the player could now store more than 1 account at once, it was a great change.
New Visual Effects, exit effects, similar to what now is, player shadow, the wall graphics changed, from white walls to brown walls!
Added new night effect when time gets past 8PM.
New items got added to level editor. THERE WERE ALSO NEW EVENTS, to what we have today, it added fog, baldi clone, and nextbot, it was fun right?
it also added baldi jumpscare, but it didnt work, it also changed mods menu to Update status menu.
Alpha 7A
Alpha 7A was out in December 15th, 2024. it added even MORE changes.
Firstly, it added the Baldi Customizer, where the game could choose a custom baldi, the characters were Baldi, Maldi, and Thraldi, cool!
Next, it added Floor 4 to Ultimate Mode, the last floor, it also added another secret area, a few more actually, leading to a false ending and finding some buttons, the player needed to buy the 99 orb to enter it.
SHOP REVAMP! the shop is now a explorable area to buy items
it was the first update to be notified on itch.io posts of baldi,s ultimate remaster. so thanks for seeing it guys.
Secrets tab was changed to hall of fame, where secrets could be seen.
The level editor got lots of new stuff, no new revamps or overhauls, but lots of new elements, which was a great addition, since levels became nicer.
New Minigame! pick quick nic! it is the same as pic quick nic from BB+, but items were randomized and sometimes didnt have any correct answer, time duration got randomly shorter every round. so thiiiiink fast!
Mixed mode got added, which sucks.
Intense mode replaced hard mode, which makes BBC modes much harder with a time limit and baldi being much faster!
Alpha 7B
After 12 days, December 27th, 2024. the last alpha update, Alpha 7B, came out, ending the alpha phase.
It added a lot of fun stuff too!
Level editor buttons got relocated and UI revamps, the editor also got settings, such as baldi countdown, and more.
Mixed mode map got revamped but still isnt too good, it will be changed soon.
The shop got more changes! now it introduces items on what they do and ranking on price and effectiveness. premium items now got cheaper, 2 new items got added! baldi ruler, and hair dryer.
New loading screen ( which got removed in beta 1 ) got added, item slots were fixed and now work when schoolhouse gets dark. also BBC modes now reqire 4 exits instead of 3 exits to beat the gamemode
Reworked Mobile Mode! now the mobile buttons fully work! also, hardcore mode was added, if you die, you lose everything!
Settings didnt change much, except added editor music selector.
New item added to BBC modes! baldi trapper, when baldi gets to it, he gets teleported to random location, similar to the old lock.
detailed completion status for gamemodes, now gamemodes show their completion status through colours, red is a concept, yellow is in development, and blue is mostly done!
Baldi bossfight, has 5 phases, new phase every time baldi,s health gets 5/30 health lower, from dropping Traps to deadly balls ( not what you think )!
Added a completly new section to change account settings ( another rework to this added in Beta 1 )
4) Beta Versions
NOTE: this section refers to upcoming content and even SPOILERS, also, the beta page might change soon, since Beta phase is still not finished in any moment, since im only currently working on Beta 1, so updates past Beta 1 might change soon.
the Beta Phase will start in March, once the prerelease is out.
Beta 1
Beta 1 started development instantly after Alpha 7B came out, it started from elevator and revamped maps to Time Limits And cheat menus. The Game After Beta 1 Pre-Release Or Full Beta 1 Will have most need Reworks, Some Optimizations, New Additions, Bug Fixes, All need for Mistakes. The Pre-Release Comes Out In March, And Full Beta 1 Comes Out In April. The Game,s Beta 1 Update Is Mostly revealed ( In 17th February ). And The Beta 1 Update Just Doesnt need More Explaination.
Beta 2
After Beta 1 Comes Out, In The Next 1-2 Months, There Will be a New major mild Update, Beta 2. It Will Add Some UI/GUI Improvements, More Fixes, bit More Optimizations, Improvements, Not much New Will be Added, but The highlight Of The Update Will be Quite Complex, Multiplayer! It Will have a few Areas, first for lobby, Second for competetive mode, And Third for cooperative mode. Last for BBC Schoolhouse mode, im Not Fully Sure, but Hey, Beta 1 Isn't released yet, So we Cant Fully Predict Beta 2.
Beta 3 and Beyond
Beta 3 And other final updates Will Add Mainly Fixes, Optimizations, Improvements, And Will Always have Some sort of Highlight for the Game Update, for Example, random Mode, With Beta 4 and Beta 5 The updates Will have Full Fixes, Optimizations, And Make Sure The Game Is ready for finał Releases, Firstly, Lets focus on Beta 1, Then Beta 2, And for this In a While, Beta 3 And Others Will be Reached In May/June Of 2025. Every beta Update Will have Something unique, So Stay Tuned! Beta Should be Completed In somewhere September 2025.
Prereleases
Prereleases Will have final Optimizations, Code Fixes, Make Sure The Game,s product Is ready for It to be The Final one, There isn't much to Explain about It, Just Mainly Fixes And final product testing, If You Will Still be Here, thanks So much. I will So glad. I Hope The journey i made Entirely by myself was Happy And Great.
Post-Initial-Release Updates.
In October/November 2025, Baldi,s Ultimate Remaster Is In Version 1.0, This Means its Fully Completed! However, The Game Isnt Done Yet, Since we have So much Work to do Before 1.0, Since Beta Didnt Even arrive Yet, i have no idea How to set plans for updates After Initial Release, i guess They Will Add Extra Stuff And Additions to The Game, Like Adding More Maps to multiplayer, Easter eggs, Extra Floors, Expanded Achievment System, Texture Support, More Editor Blocks, Etc. I Really, And i Means, REALLY Like This Game, And i Dont Want to Fully Quit ( Even Though i Might someday ) So The Game Has Full Potential, And i Want More for this Game to be Viewed
